Mohamed Mubarak Mohamed Mujaid known in Sri Lanka as “Muja” is the brother of Marushida Siyam who is currently serving a life sentence for drug trafficking along with her husband Mohammed Samoon Mohammed.
The Husband and wife were arrested in 2007 from their residence at 76, Ward Place, Colombo. Its easily the largest house in ward place. In his statement Mohammed Samoon claimed that he was a close friend of then minister Mervin Silva since 1999 and that in 2004, he (Mervin Silva) was aware of his drug trafficking.

This is where the story becomes interesting;
after the arrest, various efforts were made to release the couple to no avail and then enters the the Brother “Muja” into the scene, he makes his entrance as a Rich businessman from Malaysia and he connects with the sri lankan top brass through a Movie called “Selvam”
1. Sanjajaya Leelarathne was the Deputy Chairman of Milco, he got to that position as a result of his close relationship with Willie Gamage who was the additional defense secretary at that time.
2. in 2008 after the arrests of “Muja’s” sister, he approaches Sanjaya Leelarathne to direct a film praising Mahinda Rajapakase. You have to respect “Muja” for his ground work and intelligence as him Targeting Sanjaya was spot on! considering he had direct links with the defense ministry through his friend willie Gamage (Willie’s son is the dude who works for “Access int.” & headed the now infamous Cow deal)
3. The movie begins production in 2009 with an initial investment of 25 Million rs, the money was handled by one Dr. Mohan who happened to be the Brother in-law of SMS holding chairman Shehan Senevirathne who we all know was Gotabayas Lackey in paving all our pavements
4. The launch of the movie was done at Waters Edge in 2010 and this is where the games begin !
5. among the dignitaries were Willie Gamage (additional defense secretary at that time) and Lakshman Hulugalle (head of media center for National Security at that time), they were both close confidants of former Defense Secretary Gotabaya Rajapaksa
6. a week after the Waters Edge session, both wille Gamage and Luxman Hullugalle were whisked away to Malaysia for a week by “Muja” and were treated with Cavea, Booze & lots of Prostitutes it is rumored that this over indulging was the cause of Willie Gamages subsequent Heart attack (non fatal)
7. now enters Gotabaya Rajapakse into the scene..! Luxman Hullugalle and willie gamage were so impressed that he was introduced to Gota immediately after their return, and Gotabaya wasted no time befriending “Muja” , their friendship began with Gotabaya being invited for the opening of the Movie Selvam at regal.
NOW…..
*** Gotabaya was obviously aware that this was the very same person whose sister and her husband were in Jail as the largest drug dealers in sri lanka
*** Gotabaya was obviously aware of the investigation carried out on “Muja” since 2002 and his involvement with drug trafficking
*** Gotabaya was obviously aware that “Muja” had no legitimate business and his flagship company Lexis interbillion ltd. was incorporated in 2010 !!! and his other company Doco group was Incorporated just for this movie. (www.lexisgroup.com)
*** and yet he has Billions to throw, was the defense secretary such an idiot that he was unaware that his new found friend was Sri lankas largest Drug trafficker ??
* The drug lord also became good buddies with Namal Rajapakse through Namal’s friend the racing driver dilantha Malagamuwa by sponsoring the driver (visit www.lexisgroup.com for proof) !
in conclusion, by having former bigwigs like Gotabaya, Hullugalle, willie gamage and Namal in his pocket, it is obvious why this Drug Lord was not convicted until last week !
so simply by association, all of the above are liable for thousands of kids suffering through addiction and the thousands of parents living in despair, as either directly by reference the Drug Trafficker was able to use these individuals to prosper his business.
