Mr. Roshan Perera (Franchisee for Miss Intercontinental Sri Lanka) was promised by Miss Intercontinental CEO Mr. Detlef Tursies when he first visited this Paradise on the 18th of April’16…it was that he will do everything in his power to help Sri lanka host the first ever International Beauty Pageant.
With the able support and sponsorship of a Maldivian Billionaire, this dream has now become a reality with the Cinnamon group hosting the event and the worlds largest Media group FOX Television covering the event.
70 Beauties from around the world will participate including our own Tracy Ann DeZilva.
While the event will be the first, the beautiful Tracy will have an opportunity to make Sri Lanka proud as Rosy Senanayake did many decades ago.
The crown named ‘Oriental Holy Water’ and worth over USD 360,000 was worn by the reigning Miss Intercontinental Valentina Rasulova from Russia, when she made the official event declaration at the press-briefing on 1 September 2016.
The pageant which will be held on the 15th of October 2016 will feature international entertainment acts and the participation of celebrity judges. The event will be followed by an exclusive after-party in Colombo.
