The Rotary Club of Colombo West is the largest club in Rotary District 3220, pioneering many and important projects for the community at large ranging from providing Hydro Electricity, providing shelter, Eye Clinics, Demining, Donation of Wheel Chairs, Computer Literacy and Solar Lighting.
the Charter Presentation was made by Rotary International President Joseph Abey at a Dinner Dance held on 20th August 1961 at Galle Face Hotel.
Thee Club is the undisputed leader in district 3220 and its grand installation ceremony held at the Colombo Hilton Ballroom has been the largest and grandest that was ever done.
The evening saw an abundance of entertainment with a a Beauty Pageant, The Band Misty and the Gorgeous Thanuja keeping the audience spell bound.
Entrepreneur Roshan Perera was elected President with a Stella Board of Directors to ably support him.
