Victoria’s Secret is practically synonymous with the word lingerie, but upon entering the store or scrolling through the site, the one thing the brand is lacking becomes increasingly obvious: extended sizing. The models that front its ads are all long and lean, the largest sizes available are XL (equivalent to a 16) and DDD, and thousands of petitions have been launched pleading for a change. Plus with a lack of stylish bras for bustier women, there’s an untapped market that Victoria’s Secret could make millions, if not multibillions, off of.
Even the new additions to the VS crew have said they hope that one day the brand embraces curvier or “plus-size” body types, with model Jac Jegaciak telling the Daily Mail, “I think the whole world is more open to plus-size models and I am sure at some point they will be ready for it.”
If that’s an offer, Model Tess Holliday is taking Victoria’s Secret up on it. She snapped a sexy selfie declaring her love for lingerie and her will to become the first plus-size angel. But Tess isn’t the only one who’s got what it takes to rock a set of wings on the runway. Read on to find 12 ladies we hope to spot in the next VS show.
