We all now know the success of Miss Intercontinental Sri Lanka, the pomp..the pageantry with the most Beautiful Girls to have Dazzled the ramp in recent times, if you have a doubt..simply look at the other pageants showcased so cheaply by Local TV channels who flaunt the ladies like they were mere objects 
You will remember the Creative Genius of Dinesh Chandrasena and of-course the Magic of Ramani Fernando which transformed the Princesses into Queens, The Integrity brought by the Rotary Club of Colombo West but You will likely not know the name Anushiya Dilshard Sivakumar ! 
That’s because Anushiya was the invisible supporting the visible: she was the hidden force behind the success of the Pageant, if not for her perseverance there would not have been a Franchise and if not for her headhunting and tirelessly convincing some of the most Beautiful and Educated women of Sri Lanka that this was a pageant which respects the Woman, we would never have experienced the best of Sri Lanka’s empowered new generation of ladies with Beauty and Brains.
The likes of her are known as the “quiet elite” who appear contented with the satisfaction derived from the work itself. Perhaps outward credit is something that is simply not necessary for a large group of people like her who are happy to do stimulating work.
But The Team at Laska & Miss Intercontinental cannot let the Wind Beneath the high flying Pageant go UN-noticed, so… THANK YOU Anushiya !!
