Kavindya Tennakoon a strong, young and a talented personality who is only 19 and a proud feminist is now an inspiration to many young kids in the society. Her passion to lend a hand to those in need and educate children who can’t afford and the need to help light up the whole world is an inner beauty of herself. “Social work is something that keeps inspiring me. I will continue in that field in the future.”

Currently the 19 year old, is an adviser on Gender Equality to the UN Youth Advisory Panel also works as the In-Charge of Projects for the Stop the Violence Campaign in Sri Lanka. Who were once a TV presenter and a research intern at Harvard Kennedy. And someday is hoping to be a successful business woman.
In her school days, at Lyceum International School Nugegoda, she was an outstanding student with world prize awards and an athletic champion for 9 consecutive years. “I think if you keep your time in track and if you know your priorities well, this will not be so hard.” says, Kavindya.
Also the energetic young woman likes to travel, read and write of course with a cup of coffee.
