Grains ‘n’ Green (pvt) Ltd , a company headed by businessman Roshan Perera has ventured into agriculture with an initial investment of 150 million.
The Company has launched the Brand “Akshata” which will cater to the fast growing health conscious consumer in Sri Lanka . The Brand is now available in leading supermarkets Islandwide with Traditional Rice verities like Pachcha-Perumal, Suwandel, Kuruluthuda etc.
According to a company spokesman “Akshata” will soon be available in Australia capitalizing on the need for gluten free and a low GI staple food diet making waves in the west.
The spokesman further said a 50 ton Rice floor factory will be in operation before the end of the year which will revolutionize the local floor industry hopefully ending the monopoly of wheat flour which will save sri Lanka over billion rupees on imports.
